[ selecting the movie she moves to lay back again, conveniently snuggling onto mista comfortably while still being able to watch the screen ]
Hm? You just pay for the monthly fee, they don't charge for each movie. Technology has come a long way, when they first started you had to get the DVDs mailed to you, you could pay to rent up to three at one point. But now you don't even have to fuss with that anymore.
You could keep using my account if you want, it's no big deal.
Hmmm? Really? I mean, it costs you money so I should probably pay you back or something...
[ He didn't fight the fact that she was trying to snuggle onto him, even as a faint flush settled on his cheeks. She was warm and she smelled nice, why would he complain? He shifted just a little, carefully bringing an arm up around her and staring intently at the screen.
Just focus on the movie, there's not anything weird about this. ]
[ oh nice, he brought his arm around and oh how comforting that was in this position. it was comforting enough that it got jolyne to make herself even more comfortable against the other as she shifted for her legs to hug onto him ]
So like with the original movie... what’s that like? Is it like this? Why is it your fav?
Mmmm, it’s mostly like this? I mean, with less...uhhh...alien stuff, obviously.
[ It was clear that he was putting a lot of thought into this, unconsciously swirling his fingers over the surface of her shoulder as he kept his attention on the screen. It was hard to explain, wasn’t it? Or at least it felt like it was hard to explain sometimes and Jolyne didn’t exactly com off as the romantic type. Still, it wouldn’t hurt to try and express what she was asking. ]
It’s hard to say really, I mean there’s a lot to like about it, it’s a classic! Like...it’s a modern day fairy tale, you know? And it’s romantic as hell, even when you wouldn’t expect it to be. Have you really never seen it? Like, really really?
Well yeah, I would think it would be with less alien stuff...
[ that little bit of attention was so nice though, instinctively getting her to nuzzle against him affectionately as her hand moved over his chest to find a nice spot to rest and hold onto. whatever she was feeling couldn't really be hidden with the way those tails lazily began to sway. ]
Mmm... I think you forget, I was born about ten years after you were, I grew up with a totally different set of movies. Like 10 Things I Hate About You, or that remake of Sabrina with Harrison Ford... that's the movie I really like when I was growing up.
[ somehow admitting that much managed to make her fluster some in response, closing her eyes as she tried to brush past that. ]
As I got older I took a liking to suspense movies, but romcoms are still okay too.
[ That action in itself was strangely sweet, flush rising to Mista's cheeks as her hand settled so nicely on his chest. His attention was pulled away from the movie for moment to watch the almost mesmerising sway of those tails. ]
...seriously, the remake? It was just a lazy rehash. Nothing against Harrison Ford, but the original is so much better.
[ Of course, that was the thing that he was going to choose to focus on. ]
What can I say? Bogart and Holden weren't hard sells for me if I have to be honest, likely honestly Bogart was so overrated as a romantic lead in those days and honestly I just never saw the appeal. And besides, there was like a good forty years between the releases, I think it's okay if it's just a rehash at that point.
I mean, it could've been a lot worse, you should see what they did when they remade Clash of The Titans. Now that was a true crime to cinema.
[ she hadn't even bothered to move all this while, taking great comfort in resting against mista in this position. although with the shift of conversation to suspense movies there was that pull to get in closer and nose against his throat affectionately ]

What kind of suspense, though?
[ Please say classics. Please. ]
